Coastal Real Estate
The area affectionately known as “Cape Ann” is about 30 miles northeast of Boston and forms the northern edge of the Massachusetts Bay, and includes the towns of Gloucester, Essex, Manchester-by-the-Sea, and Rockport. These Four Towns wrap around the cape which divides the Ipswich and Massachusetts Bays.
As with any Coastal Real Estate area, home prices can be steep on Boston’s North Shore, with some areas being more affordable than others. Cape Ann and Boston’s North Shore has always been a top destination for those looking at real estate near Boston. Boston North Shore real estate offers some unique and historic homes, some dating back to the 1600’s.
Inland Area Real Estate
Danvers is bordered by Salem on the southeast, Wenham and Beverly on the east, Topsfield on the north, Middleton on the west, and Peabody to the south, and is about 17 miles north of Boston.
Peabody is an urban community where the average age of homes is around 42 years old, and it is also the location of the Salem Country Club, a private country club with a professional golf course. In the past, the club has hosted the U.S. Senior Open in 2001 and the U.S. Women’s Open in 1954 and 1984.
